Update at camp Nickell

Have you ever set out to do a blog not actually knowing what your going to blog about, well this is one of them... Guess i just blab on about how im feeling... Im feeling really good, college is going really well, and im working like a champ, rehearsing like mad and generally loving it. Have had a few mad thoughts and talks with close friends lately about God and stuff... dont even think I could get it into it in a blog haha, but yeah, ya know what... God never changes, im always changing, one minute im up here the next im down there, but God stands firm, waits ready for you to come. thats cool.

Some may call it a misfortune but i dont i think it....its a fortune... Ive had the "Fortune" of recentley falling in love with Jazz. Apparantly my tutors say thats one of the greatest places you can be... Im in the mad stage that pretty much every serious player goes through and thats Jaco pastorious... Ohhh man hes Good. Im so in love with this guy....My bass teacher, im convinced is Jaco reincarnated in flesh ( Its in scripture somewhere) and he said that one of the greatest mind sets that a bass player can be in is the Jaco mindset, thats were it all comes from and what bass is all about... And that nobody ever really leaves that phase, cuz he changed the world... he did like!! Jaco's the man, check him out on Youtube Or the likes....

Have been out and about doing few Christian Worship things which has been so amazing.. Was at a thing there in Bangor called autumn Soul, leading around 500 Young guys and grils in worship, that was a mighty day... really loved it. Got to meet up again with alota the people we met at Castlewellan Holiday week, which was amazing, there all top notch!

Anyway, im rambling... .Lifes Good, Blog Soon, Over and out

Today, I . . .

Today I wrote a song. I don't usually make a habit to often of doing it, but today I did. Was just sitting there strumming along as usual when these words started blasting through my brain, so i scribbled them down, and this little melody i'd recorded donkeys ago on the wee voice recorder doofer thingy on my phone. Pure scunderment, i musta been on the bog or sumfin when it was recorded. Anywhom, i therefore proceeded to record the wee chorus melody i had on the wee doofer thing again. I then jumped into to maroon demon and full throttled her down to kays house. Shes amazing song writer and lyric - er? wa? We started to talk about things God had been talking to us about recently, and i'd shared with her about how i felt the word "Freedom" Was a big thing running miles round my head, and how there needs to be complete freedom of spirit in the church, and nothing should hinder that... so we just started to write words and phrases down and came out with what I think are really class lyrics on kays behalf, shes amazin. Heres what the lyrics look like so far...

Verse

I'm standing here, before you now

Surrendering, this rebels heart

Hearing the sound, of your people shout

Proclaiming freedom, In your house

To see this church, Shine as your bride

We honour you, with our lives

We long to see, the kingdom come

We raise our hands to God above

Chorus

You Reign victorious, forever over us

You Reign victorious

You've Conquered death itself

Through Your amazing grace

You are so Glorious!

So yeah, the verse are really about, first of all surrendering to God, we thought that the line "Rebels heart" was really important to use here, sometimes we just dont know it but we can abe so rebelious, and i feel its real important to surrender that...then about it going on talk about freedom rising up in the church and the church being victorious. It then finally lauches into the chorus as a response to those words in the verse as a cry out to God telling him that he is victorious over us and pretty much how great he is... he is so great by the way!!! Waa!!

Blah Blah Blah

Hope to let ya'll hear it sometimes... the 2 of you who read my blog, ... stay faithful, or else.

... also can't believe comfort cancelled his blog and bebo... again!! He'll be back in 2 weeks i betcha

- Todd Bentley -

For many many weeks millions of viewers have witnessed the "Great Florida Healing Outpouring" all over the world. The man who has headed up this revival with the help of his ministry team Fresh fire Ministries, is Mr. Todd Bentley. Known for his outrageous approach to the healing of the sick, he claims he is so close to God that he hears the voice of God telling him to do certain things in order to heal certain people, for example to run at a man who has stage 4 Colan cancer and punch him in the gut, and many more...

I personally feel that especially in these end days we have to be so vigilant when it comes to these kind of things, the bible tells us to. Matthew 7:15-23 infact God feels so strongly on the matter of false prophets that he feels they are to be "Put to death" .. Thats strong.

I am not saying that Todd Bentley is a false prophet but what I am saying is that I believe we need to be careful. At the end of the day its God who does the work through the man, not the man.

Recently ALOT of bad press has come about, especially these past few days. Todd Bentley has now been asked to step down from all his public ministry as he was found out to be having an affair with a member of his ministry team. The ministry team released this, what i feel, "Sugar coated statement"

"We wish to acknowledge, however, that since our last statement from the Fresh Fire Board of Directors, we have discovered new information revealing that Todd Bentley has entered into an unhealthy relationship on an emotional level with a female member of his staff. On behalf of the Fresh Fire leadership and the Board of Directors we wish to apologize to our friends and partners and to the larger body of Christ and to ask for your forgiveness. We are truly sorry for the pain many of you must feel and so regret that in the midst of great revival, the enemy has found a way into our camp."

I think personally that this will do alot of damage the church. I think that a man should be tried and tested before he is allowed to lead a world wide revival. His marraige had been on the rocks before the revival started, and the team released a statement saying this but insisted that " Todd and shonna are experiening friction, and have seperated but no sexual immorality has taken place" The recent statment above was released as an aplology that there actually was.

I feel that we shouldn't be like the ones that celebrated Jesus when he made a triumphant entry into Jerusalem and then days later said, “Crucify Him!”, i think that if Todd is cencire abotu God that we should uphold him in prayer that God would show him repentance and love. But still think that if his marraige was over when the revival started, he should have pulled out, cuz if a man cant have his own home under control how is he supposed to lead the body of christ.

Emmm... What just happened?!

Ever get that feeling of, wow, what just happened there? Well i do. I've been busting to blog about this so im jsut gonna cut to the chase.... All of last week me and the boys had the amazing honour of leading about 150 young people in worship all week, in a big marquee in the tiny town of castlewellan, and i can honestly say that it was unforgetable, like seriously. We had been asked to this "Castlewellan Holiday week" thing a while back and i personally had no clue what to expect, but all i know is that this past week i have shared in with some of the greatest moments of worship i have ever experienced! Like this was crazy, there were times whenever i was jsut standing there in silence during the worship and being like, God you are so much bigger than anything. We had young people prophesying, healings happening, and most of all, everyone just being totally submerged in gods presence, there is no greater feeling than that. So its all over now, met some AMAZING people, shared in some of the closest intimate times of worship EVER, and now im left feeling, "What has just happened", Gods so good guys, its not about having that amazing time of worship, but just knowing that ive been in gods prescence and met with him like that, freaking blows my mind will never forget it!

Aside to all that, castlwellan is beautiful as you can see from the picture, really was an amazing setting, for an amazing week of meeting God. Theres so much more i could blog about but it would take FOREVER.....

So aye, while also there, there was a speaker for the week, who was the amazing Adrian Eagleson, this guy is a pure ledge. loves the banter, and is mad up for it! Yeah and he was speaking the whole week about the whole chosen people thing and about moses... I like Moses, he tries to reason with God and explains to God some of the reasons why he definitely is the wrong guy for the job. They discus this for a while, but as Moses kept arguing, they got to what, for me, has been the punch line....Moses protested that it would never work, trying to turn him into a leader, and God asked, “What do you have in your hand?” Whats amazing and blows me away about it all is that God took the simple shepherd’s staff that Moses had which was a tool of his trade, something easily overlooked if you’re trying to do something great, and did amazing things with it.

More to come...

Freedom is coming.

Hilarious

No real meaning to this blog, just to emphasise the amount of free time i have over summer that i can spend browsing the wonderful world of YouTube. Japanese are so funny...

Im no japanese scholar, but i got from a webiste what they were actually shouting in english... The first time they attack the guy they shout "Tsunami!", The second time They shout "It's that guy!", the third time they screamed "Fire!".

Healer - Mike Guglielmucci

Every so often a new worship song comes around that has the power and potential to be the greatest anthem for the global church to sing and cry out to God. The song "Healer" is powerful and has an amazing story behind it. (I love songs with a great stroy behind them)... Written by Mike Guglielmucci, this song is a declaration of love and relisation that Jesus is all we'll ever need. to quote the chorus . . .

I believe You're my Healer
I believe You are all I need
I believe You're my Portion
I believe You're more than enough for me
Jesus You're all I need

That just blows me away eveytime I read it. God is my healer, hes more than enough and is forever faithful. God is a God who cares for us. Although at the end of the day we deserve none of it, everything that is, is his, and is about him. Not about us, and he wants to be our healer. How mad is that! That has to be the very expression of pure love! . . . God is the healer of, our finance, our health, family, emotions, the list goes on and on, he is the healer and is in the business of restoration.
Take a look at the video, to get a bit of an insight to the songwriters mind and why he wrote this anthem of worship to God.

A full version of the song can be found at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rsnC6gPG3YU
